“Intuition” is a feeling where we understand or know what is true without any explanation. All of us have something within us which guides us or gives us a way to solve a problem, or gives us the conscience to know what is right or wrong for a particular situation.
The word “something” always gives us some wisdom and knowledge to do things in the right way. Now, why am I telling all this because in today’s story we are going to talk about intuition which lies within us, and how this helped Isaac Newton in his life.
Born on 4th January 1642 in Woolsthorpe, Manor House in the United Kingdom Sir Isaac Newton was a physicist, astronomer, mathematician. Newton was considered the most influential scientist of all time and also he was a key figure in the revolution of philosophy which is known as Enlightenment. Till now, he is famous for the formulation of the “law of motion” and “universal gravitation”.
Whenever we are in a situation where we can’t find a solution to a problem, what do we do? Sit down for some time and try to calm our mind and mostly the answer would come in a moment of thinking or through our intuition.
The same happened with Newton once he was in a situation where he was unable to find the solution to the effect of gravity after thinking for a long time. So, Newton thought of going for a walk and taking some fresh air which would help me reach the answer.

Then after walking for some time he quietly sat under an apple tree and after some time, he saw an apple falling from the tree and then in just a flash of understanding Newton understood the “law of gravity” which states that how the movement of minute particles happens which also includes the stars and planets.
Newton used his mathematical description of gravity and derived the laws of motion, universal gravitation, and also the theory of relativity.

And that’s how Sir Isaac Newton was able to solve his problem in the effect of gravity by believing in his intuition and going out for a walk to make himself relax and the “apple tree” helped him understand the law of gravity.
So, that was all about the story on intuition and how it helped Newton in his life. All of us should also believe in our intuitions. We never know how and when they could help us with any problem.
