Who is the father of vedic mathematics?

Jagadguru Shankaracharya Bharti Krishna Tirthaji Maharaja known as Venkatraman was the father of vedic maths. He was born on 14 th March, 1884 at Tinnevelly (currently known as Tirunelveli) in Tamil Nadu, India. He was a scholar of Sanskrit, Mathematics, History and Philosophy.

He stated that every research in mathematics is based on 16 sutras (Formula). Each of the sutras list out mental calculation techniques. He found all these techniques after the careful investigation of the vedic text named Ganita Sutras (Mathematics), which was actually dismissed by the other great scholars as rubbish text.
