You are eligible to take the Crest Mathematics Olympiad in both conditions- If you are living in India or outside of it. You have to participate in two levels for the CMO Exam. Also, for participation of Indian Students in level 1 of the International Maths Olympiads the candidate’s school must be associated with an Indian education board.
If you are a student studying in any of the classes from KG to 10th you can take the level 1 test. The level 2 international Maths Olympiad eligibility requirements are determined by the level 1 exam scores.

CREST Mathematics Olympiad (CMO) Syllabus Overview
When you take the Crest Mathematics Olympiad you will have to solve two sections as the exam is divided into two sections: Practical Mathematics and Achievers Section. CMO is conducted online on web-enabled devices with a webcam, with separate question papers for each class. You should prepare for the exam thoroughly as the CMO syllabus follows International board syllabuses.
CREST Olympiads Awards
- Parents and teachers assist with the Grades KG–1 tests, and kids do not receive ranks. If you achieve a minimum of 60% you will be awarded a Merit Certificate along with a Star Medal.
- If you are in between grades 2–10 and get placed among the top 55.56% of students of the CMO Level 1 Online Exam, you will be eligible to take the Online Level 2 Exams.
- Except for Grades KG–1, all online students who meet the requirements for the Level 2 exam will receive at least an “Honorable Mention” digital certificate and will also receive a certificate for finishing in the top 10% of your class.
- A digital participation certificate will be given to each online participant. This will be accessible through the participant’s dashboard. You will be eligible for a higher prize if they meet two or more requirements.
- At the time of registration, the participant (or the school acting on the participant’s behalf) will enter your residence address or the participant’s school with which to receive all of the awards.
